Fifty years ago, two area high schools introduced their Class of 1965: Wheaton Central High School, and West Chicago High School.
Both classes are now celebrating their memorable event with reunions at Holiday Inn & Suites in Carol Stream: Wheaton Central on September 19th, and West Chicago on September 26th! Congratulations!
The year was 1965… Kids were listening to (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones, I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch) by The Four Tops, Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds, I’m Henry VIII, I Am by Herman’s Hermits, What’s New Pussycat? by Tom Jones, Yes, I’m Ready by Barbara Mason, Wooly Bully by Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs, Cara, Mia by Jay & The Americans, Crying In the Chapel by Elvis Presley…and What the World Needs Now Is Love by Jackie Deshanno. Minis were in and “Flower Power” was in full swing. And it feels just like yesterday.
