On October 2 and 3, 2015, Glen Ellyn’s Glenbard West High School Class of 1965 celebrated it 50th Class Reunion with Alberto’s Signature Events at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Carol Stream, Illinois.
The 2-day event began with a “Meet and Greet” event at Alberto’s Restaurant. The following day, many of the former students visited their alma mater going from the hotel to the school in a trolley reserved just for the occasion. Saturday evening concluded with a formal dinner and reception.
In a recent email, Glenbard West’s 1965 Reunion Chair wrote:
We’ve just completed our 50th reunion at the Holiday Inn & Suites and Alberto’s and it was an ideal location. Friday night, we organized a “Meet and Greet” in the tavern area, and it worked out well. Saturday, we had a 5pm reception and 6:30pm dinner in the Ballroom.
When we were planning the reunion, we decided to go with a simple buffet, as people always want to talk and catch up, and cost can sometimes be an issue. We decorated the room with balloons from All Occasions in Wheaton and they were a big hit. We made sure to use large type on name tags, so people can easily read them.
